Currently, we are looking for a Head of Country HR for our Belgian Branch.

 

You will help us to make a positive impact in the world by empowering the Triodos co-workers to be the best versions of their selves.

 

How you will make a difference

As Head of Human Resources for the Belgian Branch (+/- 170 co-workers), you are responsible for the HR team of Triodos Bank Belgium (2 co-workers) and a member of the Group HR Leadership team.

For this you are the sparring partner of the local management team, and you assist in the development of the strategic organisational Group HR objectives. In addition, you support all local co-workers with HR related aspects. You advise and coach the local managers in their leadership and their interaction with their team co-workers within the framework of the HR policy lines. You ensure that co-workers, managers, and the entire organisation radiate that Triodos Bank is an organisation driven by its mission and which acts based on its values.

You are responsible for the correct and qualitative application of the HR processes, and you ensure that these are organised efficiently. You are the designated point of contact for various HR matters. As Head of HR, you support the managerial staff in achieving their objectives. In addition, you proactively advise them about potential bottlenecks in terms of people and organisation.

 

Together with your team:

  • You stimulate employees to genuinely connect to the values Triodos Bank holds dear.
  • You recruit, develop, and retain the type of co-workers who are passionate about their job.
  • You are responsible for the recruitment and selection procedures; you view analyses and reports and manage the further optimisation of HR processes.
  • You assist in the elaboration of the Group HR long-term development plan in line with the needs and objectives of the organisation, and you are responsible for its implementation (annual evaluation process, personal development plans employees, training, talent management, succession planning, etc).
  • As part of the Senior Management Team of Triodos Bank Belgium, you support the execution of the local plan.
  • You are responsible for compensation & benefits, and you support the related developments.
  • As a member of the employers' delegation, you are part of the Works Council, the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work and the union delegation.
  • You bring HR expertise to projects, and you contribute to the effective realisation of project objectives in the context of change and organisational processes.
  • Responsible for HR Risk Management & Compliancy.

To be successful in this role:

  • You have strong personal affinity with the mission of Triodos, and you know how to convey this and translate it into daily practice.
  • You preferably combine a master's degree with 7 to 12 years of general HR experience, with good knowledge of multiple domains such as Recruitment and Selection, Learning and Development, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, etc.
  • You will be a sounding board for the business, you communicate smoothly and transparently, and you have business insight. You approach work methodically and are strong in following up your tasks.
  • You have a keen sense of initiative and actively think along with the organisation. You manage to take a hands-on position in the field and to develop a long-term vision.
  • You are open to innovative solutions, and you have an affinity with the guiding and execution of change processes at the level of both the organisation and the individual.
  • Based on a customer-focused and problem-solving attitude, you know how to enter dialogue with various stakeholders in a smooth, efficient, and binding way.
  • You have a good command of Microsoft Office.
  • You have a sound basis in social legislation, and you have experience with payroll and social relationships.
  • You are very competent trilingual (NL, FR and EN), both orally and in writing.

 

Your future colleagues

You will be reporting hierarchically to the Group HR Director & functionally to the Managing Director of Triodos Bank Belgium. The Group HR Leadership team consists of 9 people in diverse HR leadership functions from the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, and the UK.

Locally you will manage a team of two co-workers: an HR Business Partner and an HR Administrator.
