Location: Brussels, Belgium
Do you want to work with young people in a role that makes a real difference? Then apply as a PEDAGOGICAL COORDINATOR at TADA non-profit organization!

What does a pedagogical coordinator do?

Every Saturday during the school year, more than 800 young people from Brussels gather at TADA’s weekendschool for a three-year journey full of discoveries. They participate in interactive workshops on various themes and explore different professions.

At the heart of this adventure, you supervise your own class of 28 youngsters at one of our local branches. You become their reference person, the one who supports them and watches them grow throughout the workshops.

Your role is that of a true conductor : you recruit passionate volunteers, prepare them to share their profession, and coach the day’s activities. On Saturdays, you energetically ensure that every workshop runs smoothly and successfully.

For the upcoming school year, we are looking for several pedagogical coordinators to lead both Dutch-speaking and French-speaking classes.

What exactly do you do?

The main (and enriching) challenge of your role is combining organisational responsibilities with classroom management for a group of 28 young participants.
  • You bring TADA workshops to life and are responsible for both content and logistics.
  • You plan and coordinate activities : for each theme, TADA provides a core programme that you can adapt to the needs of your students and the profile of the volunteers.
  • Every Saturday, you recruit and mobilise several volunteers who work in a specific professional field to guide activities. You ensure a relevant and diverse selection of profiles, contact and motivate them, and prepare the workshops together. On Saturdays, you coach them when needed.
  • You guarantee the smooth running of each TADA Saturday in terms of quality, organization and logistics. Solution-oriented, you respond quickly to problems or unexpected situations.
  • If you start a new TADA class, you will visit several primary schools in September to spark interest among 5th-grade pupils in joining the weekendschool. Your goal: convince families and build your own future class group.
  • You create a positive atmosphere where passion and the joy of discovery coexist with respect and discipline.
  • You regularly update our databases with information about the youngsters and volunteers under your responsibility.

  • In terms of time off, for a part-time position you benefit from 10 legal leave days and 6 paid compensatory rest days (RTT). In addition, our offices close between Christmas and New Year. Your leave is taken mainly during school holidays.
