Then you’re in luck, because on 17 October 2026, these two worlds will come together once again for the 19th edition of Museum Night Fever! As every year, we are looking for volunteers to help make this evening possible. If you’d like to get involved in an event that welcomes more than 16,000 visitors every year, work at a museum and enjoy special benefits for volunteers, then this opportunity is for you!
Who are we?
Brussels Museums (BM) is a federation that represents and brings together more than 125 museums and art centres in Brussels. BM supports Brussels museums and contributes to the professionalisation of the sector and also promotes their image and aims to make them more sustainable and accessible to everyone. To achieve this, BM organises numerous initiatives: Museum Night Fever, the Nocturnes, the Brussels Card, the Art Nouveau Pass, Open Museum, Green Museum, meetings and conferences for museums, a showcase website — www.brusselsmuseums.be — and the museum guide. Through its activities, BM reaches a broad Brussels, Belgian and international audience.
Event description
On Saturday 17 October 2026, the 19th edition of Museum Night Fever, organised by Brussels Museums, will take place. From 7 pm to 1 am, around thirty Brussels museums will open their doors for a night full of activities: performances, concerts, workshops, DJs, videos, dance, and more. In short, museums as you’ve never experienced them before. The programme is developed in close collaboration between museums, schools, young artists, collectives and youth organisations.
Role description
During the evening, volunteers will be assigned to different partner museums and various positions. There are two types of shifts: short shifts (3.5 hours) and long shifts (6.5 hours). The first gives you the opportunity to enjoy a part of the event, while the second allows you to take on certain key positions for which specific compensation is provided and gives you access to the afterparty. The different positions are:
No specific qualifications are required. All you need is the motivation to take part in this event and to be at least 16 years old.

- Scanning tickets;
- Welcoming visitors, checking wristbands and informing the public;
- To be assistant guides;
- Helping artists performing in the museums;
- Managing visitor flow and counting attendees;
- Working as a photographer during the evening;
- Scanning tickets for the afterparty.
No specific qualifications are required. All you need is the motivation to take part in this event and to be at least 16 years old.
