We’d like to summarise what the job entails for you:
As HR Lead for TPS, you have a dual role. You determine the HR strategy for the TPS organisation, comprising 400 employees spread across several European countries. In addition, you act as HR Business Partner for TPS colleagues in Belgium.
This means that you:
- shape the HR strategy for TPS and translate it into concrete initiatives that contribute to growth and performance, acting as a sparring partner for the TPS Management team
- support and challenge the business on decisions that impact people and the organisation, and help implement them
- help harmonise and improve HR processes across countries
- work on talent development, leadership, future-proof skills, recruitment policy, remuneration policy…
- help strengthen a culture centered on feedback, entrepreneurship and collaboration
- guide change processes, from organisational optimisations to broader transformations
- in this dual role, are part of the TPS Management team, the Belgian HR Management team and the international HR Management team build strong relationships with HR colleagues and managers across borders, actively contributing to the sense of one Mediahuis.
- You move seamlessly between strategy and practice. You know when to provide direction and when to make a difference yourself in the implementation.
- You have a dual reporting line. For your international activities, you report to the CHRO, and for your Belgian activities, you report to the HR Director Belgium.
Where will you be working?
An international news media company where journalism, technology and innovation take centre stage.
You will mainly work from our office in Antwerp, with monthly visits to Amsterdam. As is customary at Mediahuis, we work in a hybrid model: a combination of office and remote working.

What we do consider important:
- You have solid experience in HR (ideally 7+ years), some of which in an international or complex organisation
- You have a strong affinity with technology
- You feel at home in a strategic role combined with a hands-on approach
- You have experience in project and change management and know how to engage people in change
- You can build relationships at a senior level and are not afraid to challenge when necessary
- You feel comfortable in an environment where not everything is set in stone and where you can provide direction
In addition, you are at ease in an international context and can express yourself well in Dutch and English.
